1. After School Club Assistant

Position 1 After School Club Assistant
Scale: Scale 2 Point 14
Start date: September 2017

Required from September 2017, we are looking to appoint an After School Club Assistant to help launch our brand new and exciting After School Club here at school. The club, for Spinney pupils only, will run from 3:15 to 6:00pm daily during term time only. The successful applicant will be:

  • Enthusiastic, warm and kind
  • Highly reliable
  • Positive, caring and sensitive
  • An excellent team player with the ability to use their own initiative
  • Aware of the importance of promoting a happy, healthy and active lifestyle

Experience with primary-aged children would be an advantage but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn is equally important.

The Spinney is a happy and welcoming Group 2 village school on the South East outskirts of Cambridge, age range 4-11, described in its last Ofsted report as 'an outstanding school where pupils thrive in both their academic and personal development' where 'the children's positive behaviour is exceptional' (OFSTED 2008/9).

Achievements include the Active Mark, the National Healthy Schools standard, and participation in the Safer Routes to School project. We are committed to ensuring a full and supportive induction.
